Universal Free School Meals

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for the universal free school meals scheme. However, it is of vital importance that all parents complete the official ‘School Meals’ online form as this enables us to access additional funding for those children who are eligible for ‘Pupil Premium Grant'.  We receive ‘Pupil Premium Grant’ for children whose parents are receiving: Universal Credit or are supported such as an asylum seeker. This form needs to be completed online: https://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/educationandlearning/schools/school-life/meals/free/.

School Meal Prices

The cost of a school meal daily is £2.36. You can pay for your child's school meals using Parent Pay https://www.parentpay.com If you have a child in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 please ensure your account is always in credit.

Bourne Primary School has a contract with the catering company Harrison and payment for meals goes to them, not the school.  If your account is not in credit, you may be called and asked to provide a packed lunch for your child.

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a universal free school meal, however it is a good idea to activate your parent pay account in preparation for Year 3.

Please contact the school office if you have any problems with Parent Pay.
