At Bourne, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive learning environment where every child is known, valued and supported to thrive. We recognise that every pupil is unique and are committed to ensuring that all children can access a broad, ambitious curriculum and fully participate in school life.
High-quality teaching and inclusive universal provision form the foundation of our approach. Training is carefully tailored to develop staff expertise in meeting the needs of both individuals and groups of children within our setting, ensuring that pupils are supported effectively through quality first teaching and adaptive classroom practice.
When additional needs are identified, we adopt a graduated approach to support, enabling us to respond promptly and effectively to barriers to learning. Through ongoing collaboration between staff, families and, where appropriate, external professionals, provision is carefully planned, implemented and reviewed to ensure that it remains responsive to each child's strengths, needs and aspirations. This personalised approach ensures that support can be adjusted over time, helping every pupil to achieve their full potential and experience a strong sense of belonging within our school community.
