Bourne Primary School

Year 1 is the first year in Key Stage 1.  This year the children take the Phonics Screening Check.  At Bourne Primary School, we use the Little Wandle: Letters and Sounds Revised scheme to teach phonics.  Parents can find out more about the scheme by clicking on the link.  During the year parents will be invited in to school to discuss ways they can help prepare their child for the Phonics Screening.
