Online Safety

Online Safety for children has never been so important.  At Bourne Primary School we constantly review and evolve our internet safety procedures to ensure our pupils are not only protected from the dangers of the Internet and the World Wide Web but are also fully informed and educated on how to deal with online threats or concerns.  Online safety is taught to all our pupils using the Education for a Connected World framework supported by Project Evolve.

We believe that being educated about Online Safety is an essential life skill.  Providing children with the knowledge to protect themselves and their personal information is a key focus throughout our digital curriculum.  Click here for our Online Safety Policy.

Online Safety at Home

Having a safe online environment at home is not as daunting as it may seem.  The opportunities for connecting with others using technology is vast and constantly growing, however parents and other adults can make this a safe environment.  The school can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure that online safety message is consistent.  It is important that parents speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.
