Ofsted
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They report directly to Parliament and are independent and impartial. They inspect and regulate services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages. Every week, Ofsted carry out hundreds of inspections and regulatory visits throughout England, and publish the results on their website. To find an inspection report, you can go to the “Find an inspection report” tab on their homepage.
Bourne School was most recently inspected in December 2021. The inspectors looked into every aspect of life at Bourne, and made judgments on five areas which cover the work we do: the Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment; Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare; Early Years provision; Outcomes for Pupils; and the Effectiveness of Leadership and Management. They then made a judgment on our Overall Effectiveness.
